Tencent initially addressed the problem in 2014 with the creation of corporate accounts (Enterprise Accounts 企业 号) within WeChat and subsequently with the addition of corporate messages (企业 消息) which gave the possibility of being able to group all business chats in one folder. This contributed to its diffusion but at the same time the request was born to have a communication tool that separated personal life from working life. When WeChat became popular in 2011, many people started using the app in the workplace as well. WeChat Work is now used by many companies in China for partner and customer management, thus proving to be an excellent tool for both B2B and B2C. Thanks to the use of WeChat Work, users can fully concentrate on work-related activities, thus separating the personal space from the workspace. ![]() Moreover, if you want to have access to all the features, a company needs to pay 300 RMB per year to have the account verified by WeChat. The app is free, but only Chinese companies can create an account. WeChat Work is a separate app from WeChat developed as a tool to improve communication in companies but also to optimize the relationship with customers.
